Say it aloud. Sri Spoke. Say it a second time and the seam disappears, and what you hear is the oldest and best word in the language of dressing well: bespoke. That is not an accident. It is the whole idea, hidden in plain sight in the name over my door. Everything I have ever done for a living, and everything I do here for pleasure, rests on a single conviction, that the things worth having are the things made to measure, cut for one person and no one else.
I have spent more than twenty-five years in communications. Not the ornamental kind, but the sort that decides whether a company is believed, whether a discovery reaches the people it was meant for, whether a leader walks into a room already understood. I built and led that work for some of the largest names in medicine and the life sciences, Johnson & Johnson, Pfizer, Merck, GlaxoSmithKline, Galapagos, Caris Life Sciences, across the United States, Europe, and Asia, and I did it from inside the room rather than outside looking in. I trained first as a lawyer and then as a journalist at Columbia, but the real schooling was in the chair, next to chief executives on the hardest days a company can have, learning what a reputation is actually worth.
Brand and image are not the gloss. They are the argument.
There is a lazy idea that image is the opposite of substance, a coat of paint over the real thing. A career has taught me the reverse. Image is not the enemy of substance; it is how substance travels. The finest science in the world does nothing if no one trusts the people delivering it. The strongest company in a sector can be undone in an afternoon by a story it failed to tell first. A reputation is the single most valuable asset a leader owns and the single most fragile, and it is never built by accident. It is built the way a good suit is built, deliberately, to measure, one considered choice at a time, or it is left to chance and stitched together by other people who do not have your interests at heart.
That is the work of Sri Spoke Communications, the firm I founded to do it on my own terms: to partner with leaders and organizations and, in the words I chose for our mission, tell their story with clarity, credibility, and impact. Messaging, strategy, execution, the counsel a chief executive needs before the lights come on. And the principle underneath all of it is the one the name gives away. A message built to fit everyone fits no one. Strategy borrowed off the rack hangs badly on the company that wears it. The work has to be cut for the one who wears it, or it is not worth doing. It has to be bespoke.
Why I built this site
Whatever Suits You is the other half of the same idea. If Sri Spoke is bespoke for the company and the leader, this place is bespoke for the man. Because the truth I have spent a career applying to organizations is just as true of a person: the way you present yourself is a form of communication, and it is speaking before you do. The cut of a jacket, the knot at your throat, the shoes, the restraint or the flourish, all of it is an opening statement, an argument made in cloth about who you are and how seriously you take the day. It is your personal brand, whether you have designed it or not.
So I made a home for that conviction, away from the boardroom, where I could take image just as seriously for its own sake, and for the sheer joy of it. This is where I think aloud about tailoring and taste, about music and substance, about the small deliberate choices that add up to a man the world takes at his word. It is not a lookbook and it answers to no one's rules but my own. It is, in the end, the same craft I have practised for companies my whole life, turned toward the individual. The suit and the strategy are not different disciplines. They are one belief in two wardrobes.
Sri Spoke is bespoke for the company. Whatever Suits You is bespoke for the man. Messaging, strategy, execution, or fashion, the good stuff is always made to measure.
That is why these two live side by side, and why one points to the other. If you have come here for the clothes, know that they were always about something larger, the case a person makes for himself without saying a word. And if the larger case is what you need made, for a company, a leader, a moment that cannot be left to chance, that is the day work, and it has its own door.
Dress for yourself, not the room. And whatever you are building, a wardrobe or a reputation, have it made to measure.
Whatever Suits You · Style. Sound. Substance.
